The Sons of Truth Message From The Ghetto album is probably the funkiest gospel album I own, and that I've ever had the pleasure of hearing. Released on Stax Records gospel sub-label Truth Records, Message From The Ghetto is a funky and essential listening from that late 60's/early 70's era when that funk was seaping into soul music. "The Ghetto" is one of my favorite tracks off of this album.
